Plain Studio, initiated by artist Huang Suhuai, is dedicated to supporting artistic creation and research through contemporary art curation and fostering interdisciplinary exchange. Its initiatives include the exhibition Mirage of Words, the residency program Plain Glimmers, the cross-media theatre production Seahigh, the community project River Initiatives, and the interdisciplinary collaboration lab InterFlux. Plain Studio has become a project platform within Emergency Stairs from 1 May 2025.
