一桌多椅 (2017-2019)
没有对话,就没有发展。
没有交流,就没有进步。
“一桌多椅 “是避難階段的国际交流计划,旨在建立一个深入和互惠的区域网络,培养对区域文化交流有浓厚兴趣的新加坡文化领袖。
自2011年以来,刘晓义用多年时间与来自亚洲不同城市的艺术家、机构和团体接触、合作。2017年避難階段成立,终于让我们把交流网络和平台整合到 “一桌多椅 “计划中。
随着”最南階段“把本区域的艺术家们带到新加坡进行交流对话,避難階段创造了一个宝贵双向的网络,使跨境交流和创作在新加坡内外同时发生。该实验注重长期交流的重要性,强调的非一次性的经验,而是在时间和空间上持续合作。
通过该项目,我们希望创造一种交流模式,促进更深入的跨学科、跨区域交流。

The Wharf Workshop (2018-2019)
The Wharf Workshop is an international theatre camp for young people organized by Wakabacho Wharf (Yokohama). It is co-curated by Makoto Sato (Tokyo) and Xiaoyi Liu (Singapore) in 2018 and 2019. Prior to the pandemic, The Wharf Workshop have been organizing gatherings for young artists active in neighboring Asian cities to learn from each other and build a network of young artists in Japan and internationally.
Wakabacho Wharf, which opened in 2017, is an arts center with a small theater, studio and dormitory-style accommodations. It is a space established by playwright and director Makoto Sato as a base for his theater activities.

One Table Two Chairs Meeting (2016-2018)
One Table Two Chairs Meeting was a 3-year series of Asian experimental theatre exchange at the Za-Koenji Theatre. Emergency Stairs’ Liu Xiaoyi has been invited to participate in the festival for three consecutive years as a director, and has presented three works in Tokyo.
ZA-KOENJI Public Theatre is a theatre for contemporary performing arts. The theatre is funded by the city of Suginami in Tokyo and managed by Creative Theatre Network (CTN), a non-profit organization. The theatre produces, presents and supports a wide range of cultural activities for the community of Suginami, enabling people of all ages to see and take part in many art forms from drama and dance to music and storytelling.
